christ the Redeemer

This statue is the statue of Jesus. It stands on top of Corcovado Mountain, in the country Brazil and in the city Rio de Janeiro. The height of the statue is 170 meters. You can see it from anywhere in the city. This was built from 1926 to 1931, and was designed by a Brazilian called Heitor da Silva Costa. Christ the Redeemer is important in Brazil because it represent Christianity and which is dominated by Catholics. The statue is of course man-made. The biome of Rio de Janeior is the tropical rainforest. The climate there in the summer is 37c. The city is mostly famous with its wonderful beaches. The nearest ocean or bodies of water are Copacabana, and Ipanema. People should go visit this beautiful work of art, because it is placed in an amazing country with lots of trees, and plants. Also it is one of the most popular places and one of the 7 wonders of the world. Did u know that the span of his arms from fingertip to fingertip is 28 meters? There is this place at the bottom of the statue that can fit 150 people. That’s all for this structure. Hope you liked my presentation. Go there!!
