Petra is in Jordan. The location of Petra is 30N 35E.The climate of Jordan is hot desert climate.The nearest ocean or river is Jordan river and the Dead sea. Most of Jordan's vegetation is desert like. Petra is very beautiful. Petra is very old. It was craved by the Nabateans. It took 20,000 Nabateans to carve Petra on the side of a rock. Petra means rock in the greek language. Petra is very beautiful is something that you can’t miss it for the world. Petra was man-made. Some people called Petra the lost city of stone it was rediscovered by the time of the early 1800’s. Petra was made at the south of Jordan. Nabateans are people that are all over the Middle east and Saudi arabia from Egypt and Jordan and Israel and Saudi arabia. The rock that Petra was carved on it is the color of red rose. Petra is a temple for Nabateans kings and queens. Petra is more than 2,000 years old. It was easier to move silk and spices to other countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia. It is very beautiful and during the night at Petra it is so BEAUTIFUL that if you were a turiost and you don’t have enough money to move to Jordan you would wish to move to it
